POSTED -- Updated pictures **
For any new
scouts, we need a signed permission slip before their picture can be placed on
our website. The permission slip can be obtained by
going to the webpage
http://cubscoutpack34.com/Website_Permission_Slip.pdf.
Please fill out the slips and turn them in to the den leaders…
who will then forward them to the Webmaster. They will be kept on file by
the Webmaster. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.
Webelos Klondike 2007
Last
weekend, both of our Webelos dens participated in the annual Whispering Pine
Webelos Klondike at Pine Park in Lakewood. They dragged their sled through
16 different stations... in unusually warm (and slightly rainy) weather... and participated in
various activities such as the "Snowshoe Race", "Animal
Tracks", and "Communicator".
They did their best in over 5
years -- scoring 1094 points (7th place) overall -- and earning four 1st-place
awards (Readyman, Traveler, Animal Tracks, Engineer), four 2nd-place
awards (Citizen, Tot'n Chip, Compass, Naturalist), and one 3rd-place award
(Forester).
Thanks to the parents
for getting the scouts there at such an early hour, and many thanks to the
volunteers and leaders who helped man the "Engineer" station.
Congratulations, Webelos, for an excellent job!!! A special "thank you"
goes out to Brian D. for helping the Webelos prepare for this glorious event.
Kudos to you as well!!! [Pictures from the event will be posted on the
website shortly.]
Scouting For Food 2006
Our pack
participated
in this year's Scouting For Food drive in November, and we collected a combined
83 bags of food from two
neighborhoods this year -- Robins Estates and Kensington Manor. All bags
were dropped off at the Jackson Food Pantry. Thanks to Brian, Jack, Mary
Lee, and all the other scouts, parents, & leaders who made this event a huge success!!!

Council Recognition
At the Whispering
Pines District Recognition Dinner last month, Pack 34 was awarded the 2006
Chairman's Circle Award for Outstanding Participation in, and Support of, the
year round scouting program in the Whispering Pines District. Congrats to
the scouts, parents, and leaders for making our pack such a success!!!
